La propuesta diseñada por el estudio Nicoletti Associati para el pabellón oceanográfico para la Expo de Yeosu 2012 consiguió el tercer premio. El pabellón, que fue concebido como una Gran Ola Azul lanzándose fuera del puerto, pretende representar el tema de la Exposición Universal: la vida del océano y de la costa.

El pabellón destaca la importante influencia sobre el planeta de los océanos y los recursos costeros, y lo peligroso que es afectar el frágil ecosistema.

El jurado añadió que el pabellón tiene -una forma fuerte y poderosa que sería reconocible instantáneamente. El tema de la Expo está representado simbólicamente en una forma derivada de la vida marina. La imagen del pabellón está en armonía con el tema del océano. Su forma fluida conmemora la naturaleza del agua y la vida marina que se ha adaptado a ella. Hace una sencilla pero poderosa relación metafórica. El espacio de exhibición es muy práctico para un uso posterior-.

Studio Nicoletti Associati's design for an oceanic pavilion placed third in the Yeosu Expo. The pavilion, which was conceived as a Great Blue Whale hurling itself out of the port, intends to represent the Expo’s theme: The Living Ocean and Coast. The pavilion draws attention to the fundamental influence of the planet's oceans and coasts resources, and how dangerous it is for such a fragile ecosystem, to ignore them. The jury added that the pavilion has -a strong and powerful form that would become instantly recognizable. The theme of the Expo is symbolically represented with a shape drawn from marine life. The image of the pavilion is consistent with the theme of the ocean. Its fluid shape celebrates the nature of water and the marine life that has adapted to it. It makes a very simple but powerful metaphorical relationship. The exhibition space is very practical for post-use-.
